Key Advantages

  • Corrosion Protection – Prevents oxygen pitting and acid corrosion in boilers and piping.
  • Efficiency Enhancement – Preheats feedwater, reducing thermal shock and improving fuel efficiency.

  • Chemical Savings – Reduces the need for oxygen scavenger chemicals.

  • Operational Reliability – Ensures a continuous supply of deaerated feedwater, even during load variations.

  • Long Service Life – Manufactured with robust design standards for extended operational life.

Construction & Design

Deaerator tanks are manufactured in both Spray Type and Tray Type designs, depending on system requirements.

Firstly, Spray Type Deaerator – Feedwater is sprayed through nozzles into a steam atmosphere, thereby ensuring maximum contact for efficient gas removal.

Tray Type Deaerator – Feedwater flows over multiple perforated trays, which allows prolonged contact with steam and consequently results in higher degassing efficiency.

Applications

  • Industrial steam boilers

  • Power plants

  • Chemical processing industries

  • Food & beverage plants

  • Pharmaceutical production facilities

Tank Design:

  • Horizontal cylindrical design with integrated storage section.

  • Internally designed for maximum contact between feedwater and steam.

  • Equipped with manholes for inspection and cleaning.

Working Principle

  1. Feedwater Inlet: Cold or pretreated water enters the deaerator.
  2. Steam Heating: Low-pressure steam is introduced into the tank.
  3. Degassing Process: The steam heats the water close to saturation temperature (104–108°C). As temperature rises, oxygen and carbon dioxide are released.
  4. Vent System: Released gases are expelled through a vent condenser.
  5. Storage: The deaerated, preheated feedwater is stored in the tank, ready for supply to the boiler.

Steam Boiler Deaerator Tank

We produce high-quality Boiler Deaerator Tanks in Pakistan. These tanks remove dissolved gases, such as oxygen and carbon dioxide, from boiler feedwater, which prevents corrosion and increases the efficiency and lifespan of steam systems. Our deaerator tanks use advanced technology to deliver optimal performance, reliability, and energy savings. When you integrate our tanks into your system, you gain improved steam quality and lower maintenance costs. Trust Noble Associates to provide durable and efficient boiler accessories that keep your operations running smoothly.

A Steam Boiler Deaerator Tank is one of the most critical components in an industrial boiler plant. It ensures the long-term reliability, efficiency, and safety of the steam generation system. The deaerator removes dissolved gases, especially oxygen and carbon dioxide, from boiler feedwater. If you do not treat these gases, they cause severe corrosion, pitting, and scaling in boiler tubes, economizers, and steam pipelines. These problems result in unexpected downtime and costly maintenance.

The deaerator operates on the principle of thermal deaeration. In this process, the system sprays or distributes incoming feedwater over trays inside the deaerator tank. At the same time, low-pressure steam heats the water to near saturation temperature. As the water temperature rises, gas solubility decreases, and the dissolved oxygen and carbon dioxide escape through the deaerator’s venting system. The tank then stores the treated water and supplies it to the boiler when needed.

By supplying oxygen-free, preheated feedwater, the deaerator protects the boiler, improves fuel efficiency, reduces chemical consumption, and extends the overall life of the steam system. In addition, the tank stores feedwater, ensuring stable and uninterrupted boiler operation during load fluctuations.
